Beth’s Bourbon Apple Crisp – Fraiche Living

Beth’s Bourbon Apple Crisp – Fraiche Living

Dependent on TV’s spiciest cowgirl, Beth’s Bourbon Apple Crisp is sweet with a bold punch of bourbon. Serve with a scoop of ice cream for the best deal with!  It’s so mouth watering … virtually as excellent as that image of RIP that just strike my feed lol.

Yellowstone Themed Recipes

Previously this yr I grew to become obsessed with the exhibit Yellowstone. As a person who hardly ever watches Tv, getting this invested into a sequence is tremendous rare for me! I owe a lot of it to the people, one particular of whom is the major girl Beth Dutton. Irrespective of whether you appreciate her or loathe her (lol), she is daring, badass and the queen of Yellowstone.

We determined to arrive up with a Yellowstone Menu in honour of the prolonged awaited return of year 4, and so a thing to celebrate Beth (and her appreciate of bourbon) felt critical. Just about every weekend, I will be sharing a new “Yellowstone Themed” recipe. Trust me they are SO Good.

Home made Bourbon Caramel Sauce

If you have ever wanted to take a dessert to the future level I have three phrases for you: Bourbon Caramel Sauce. Though your apple crisp is baking, (or whatever dessert you are whipping up) you can very easily whisk together a handmade caramel sauce above the stove. The bourbon is decently front and centre in this recipe, so really feel free to make a batch with no it for any kiddos (change with drinking water or cream)! This would taste delightful in excess of ice product or recipes like this Upside-Down Pear Gingerbread Cake or drizzled about an Apple Galette.

Beth’s Bourbon Apple Crisp

This Bourbon Apple Crisp is sweet with a daring punch of bourbon. Serve with a dollop of iced product for the ideal handle!

Elements

Apple Crisp

  • 5 cups 1/2″ diced peeled apples* about 4-6 apples
  • 1 cup previous fashioned rolled oats gluten no cost
  • 1/2 cup flour gluten cost-free
  • 1/2 cup evenly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter divided

Beth’s Bourbon Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup flippantly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup cream or coconut cream
  • pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and frivolously grease 6 oven evidence ramekins or a 8×8” pan. Put the diced apples in a medium bowl and stir in 1 tablespoon of melted butter.

  2. In a significant bowl, blend the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.  Mix to blend.  Stir in the remaining melted butter to merge.

  3. Stir 1/4 cup of the oat combination into the apples and stir to incorporate.  Transfer the apples to the baking dish(es) and sprinkle the oat combination evenly above the apples.

  4. Bake until eventually the leading is golden brown, around 1 hour.

  5. Whilst the crisp is baking make the Bourbon Sauce.  In a smaller saucepan above very low warmth combine the butter and flour and whisk alongside one another cook for 1 minute. Increase the brown sugar, bourbon, cream and salt simmer and whisk until eventually the sugar is dissolved and the sauce has slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.  Eliminate from the warmth and whisk in the vanilla.

  6. Provide a bit warm with a scoop of vanilla ‘nice cream’ or ice cream and a drizzle of Beth’s Bourbon Sauce.
