Slide show: Proper lifting techniques
Before you elevate a large item, believe through your task. Decide exactly where you are likely to position the item and how you can get it there. If an item is also large to elevate securely, ask an individual to enable you. If possible, break down a load into lesser units.
When lifting an item from the ground, stand shut to the item. Never elevate from a standing position with your midsection bent or your knees locked.
Just one selection for suitable lifting is to kneel, resting 1 knee on the ground.
