The split jerk is actually a two-action with the back again foot landing 1st and as a result gaining traction 1st. This has the result of pushing the bar ahead beneath the bar as it locks out overhead.
This physical exercise teaches the appropriate “prancing” action of the front foot though reinforcing the push from the shoulders in front of the neck. If this is a difficulty of yours or a person of your athletes, incorporate the movement early in the session until the footwork gets to be nicely ingrained.
As extra proficiency is accomplished, the physical exercise can be slowly moved even more back again in the training until it can be eliminated entirely.
