Immigration, Migration, and Health Care in the United States

The National Library of Medication (NLM) announces Exterior/Inside of: Immigration, Migration, and Health Treatment in the United States, a new on the web exhibition.

Guest curated by historian and educator Beatrix Hoffman, PhD, Northern Illinois College, Exterior/Inside of mostly characteristics products from the NLM historic collections and explores the historical past of strategies about immigrant health and fitness and immigrants’ and migrants’ encounters with U.S. health and fitness care considering the fact that the late 1800s. Health care and medicine have performed a function in inclusion and exclusion, in “assimilation” and discrimination, in dividing communities and strengthening them.
