Poached pears – Mayo Clinic

Components

  1. one cup orange juice
  2. one one/four cups apple juice
  3. one teaspoon ground cinnamon
  4. one teaspoon ground nutmeg
  5. four whole pears
  6. one/2 cup new raspberries
  7. 2 tablespoons orange zest

Directions

In a little bowl, merge the juices, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir to blend evenly.

Peel the pears and depart the stems. Clear away the main from the base of the pear. Position in a shallow pan. Insert the juice mixture to the pan and established around medium warmth. Simmer for about thirty minutes, turning pears routinely. Don’t boil.

Transfer the pears to individual serving plates. Garnish with raspberries and orange zest and provide immediately.
